I enrolled my 6 year old son for the 2010 Spring season for soccer training at Simi Valley Youth Soccer League in U6 group. It started rather well, we had to assign a “soccer mom” and then the troubles started. Both me and my husband are working, and, on the enrollment form we specified that we cannot bring our son at the practice before 4:30PM, so, if they cannot guarantee a practice time to accommodate our needs, we do not want to be enrolled. Well, they completely ignored the request and the cached the check. After that, the designed “soccer mom” seemed interested only in choosing practice time to fit her schedule and, since she was a staying home mom, of course her preferred schedule didn’t match ours (3.30PM). OK, we decided we cannot make it to the practice and announced the organizers…Promptly, they gave the spot to the next kid waiting in line, and, guess what!!! Immediately they moved the practice time back at 5:30PM. When I called to complain, they basically said “tough luck” and there is nothing to do…Try to imagine the disappointment of a 6 years old boy that waiting for several months for his first soccer practice…We asked for a refund and we got it…one FULL months late, after three or four e-mails from our side, and three or four replies from their side, each of them ensuring us that they will mail the check next day personally or that they mailed it already.
All in all, a really bad experience which I wouldn’t recommend to anybody. Consider yourself warned.
